La bohème as you’ve never seen or heard it before. This extraordinary light and sound installation allows you to wander through an orchestra of glowing pavilions, experiencing each instrument and voice individually, recorded in ‘quadraginta phonic’ surround sound with forty separate tracks. Join the invisible party at Café Momus as Act II of Puccini’s masterpiece thunders to a dramatic crescendo. The electrifying score is conducted by Sergio Alapont, and features celebrated Irish sopranos Celine Byrne and Anna Devin, in the roles of Mimì and Musetta. Puccini’s best-loved opera is a touching, comic, and realistic tale – true for any time in which deep romantic bonds can flower in the face of adversity. The performers may be unseen, but you will feel every moment of this world première installation.
