Proper Micro NV is the alias of 24 year old Limerick electronic music producer/singer and songwriter Rory Hall.
With one album, three EP’s and a string of live performances since the projects creation (Electric Picnic, Body&Soul, Castlepalooza, Whelan’s, Dolan’s, Roisin Dubh, The Workmans, Hard Working Class Heroes & more) – Hall has been hailed by Nialler9, Dan Hegarty of RTÉ 2fm, The Irish Times, and Irish songstress Roisin Murphy amongst others.
Hall is signed to Strange Brew Records. In early 2019, Proper was selected as one of the Thin Air’s 19 for 19 calling him a “genre pushing late night festival act worthy of a big stage.
Proper’s debut album Dormant Boy was picked at Number 7 in The Last Mixed Tape’s readers album of the year for 2018, as well as Nialler9’s Top 20 Albums of the Year and REMY’s Top 20 Album’s of The Year. Performances to packed crowds at various venues and festivals proceeded this – with Proper showcasing his electronic, dance driven – theatrical and costume based show that had gained him attention.
