A farm 5km outside Carlow Town
Alarmed at the looming environmental disaster, three attention seeking artists attempt to take on global warming, one gardening workshop at a time. Giving up their showbiz careers proves just as difficult as living together in rural isolation.
A comedian, a dancer and a circus performer have become disillusioned with showbiz, city life and the injustices of the world. They have decided to move to a field in Carlow, live off the land and become environmentalists. Their move may have been inflicted upon them by the pandemic, but to show their commitment, they have vowed to give up showbiz.
In order to keep their little community in cash they decide to teach workshops on growing food and bio-diversity. This is their first workshop. Nothing goes quite to plan – as when in front of a live audience for the first time in a year their show biz instincts kick in and they can’t help but make a song and dance about it.
As their workshop becomes more about them than growing food, the cracks in their social experiment are revealed with levels of unexpected entertainment.
Surreal, silly, melodramatic, and the audience might learn a thing or two about growing food.
Sexual references, drug references, partial nudity, adult content
No toilets, rough ground.
There will be a live ISL Interpreter onsite for the following event dates/times:
Sat 4 June – 4pm
Sat 12 June – 4pm
