AUGMENTED BODY, ALTERED MIND
AlanJames Burns [IRELAND]
Fri 10 – Sun 12 June / 11am–8pm
Augmented Body, Altered Mind is an immersive interactive experience that explores the relationships between technology, neurodivergence and climate change.
The user wears a headset and interacts with a digital artwork constructed by the electric signals from their brain. Because everyone’s brain activity is different, each experience of the artwork will be unique.
Augmented Body, Altered Mind was created by artist AlanJames Burns in collaboration with writer Dylan Coburn Grey, composer Michael Riordan, and digital artist collective Ibragim.
Commissioned by Carlow Arts Festival with funding by The Arts Council | An Chomhairle Ealaíon Commissions Award and Arts & Disability Ireland Connect scheme.
